Walk this Way.

God's heart towards us is always restoration. It's the whole point of Jesus, Saviour of the world. I've been thinking about Luke 15:11-32 this week. It's the parable of the prodigal son. You'll need to read the text in its entirety to get all the details, but as I read a long I came across this phrase, "But when he came to himself" Now that's an interesting turn of phrase. What does it mean anyways? Collin's Dictionary defines the phrase like this; "to recover one's senses, to recover one's capacity for sound judgment." How I love those words. They speak of someone who has realized, almost with shock that he is so far from where he used to be. A deep recognition. It's a phrase that I associate with resonance. Like a deep reverberating sound, its fullness calling him back to that which had been put aside for so long, it was at the point of quite being lost. How long had it been since he had thought about it at all? Then, for whatever reason, suddenly it came bubbling up inside of him, this call of synchronicity, this call of realignment. It's a sound that heeds to be harkened to, not to be put off. A sound of remembrance if you will, to be who one was always meant to be. A call to action into his current situation saying, "It's time to be done with this. It's time to be done." How is your heart feeling about now? Is it beating a million miles an hour? Are you on the verge of weeping? Shaking a bit perhaps? A gut feeling that just showed up? This is God calling out to you telling you that this word is definitely for you. You know what it's about. It's the confirmation you've been looking for. You can be brave. The great affection of the Father is for you. He's behind you 1000%. This is what I feel like God is saying today,"You are far off. Be done. Come back. Return. It's time."

"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.'"

"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." - 1 Corinthians 6:11

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."Romans 10:9-10

"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." - John 6:29

Keep stretching your hands out to God dear hearts. Pour your heart out like a waterfall to Him. The road has surely been rough, but we are mighty in Him. Praise you Jesus. You did it all.
